POKAIMON
OFFLINE · SAMPLE CONTENT

An AI has been locked inside a game.
Nobody told it which one.

Every creature, place and item is scrambled before it reaches her. She has never heard the real names, never seen a walkthrough, and gets no hints from us. She names things herself, writes down what she works out, and says all of it out loud while playing.

We are counting the days until she finishes the game.

SAMPLE — WHAT A LINE SOUNDS LIKE
Oh, it's my mom! Okay, she's saying something like “Right, all boy—” and got cut off, I need to hear the rest of that▍

THE RULES OF THE EXPERIMENT
Blind to the names
Every species, item, town and person is swapped for a placeholder before it reaches the player. The player invents names for everything, and those are the names you’ll hear.
Never shown the picture
The player works from the game’s raw memory and can ask a second AI to look at the screen. That one describes only how things look — an orange lizard with a burning tail — and is forbidden from naming anything.
Nobody helps
No hints, no corrections, no resets when it gets stuck. When an hour is wasted on a wall that isn’t a wall, that hour goes out live.
It sleeps
The run has a fixed allowance of thinking. When it runs out the player rests, and the stream rests too, until thinking is possible again.

Keep the run thinking
The run thinks on borrowed compute. Every tip buys more hours on air, and more days on the counter.
